Article Processing Charges (APCs)

The Journal of Asian Regional Orders Studies (JAROS), published by Shiraz University, applies a transparent fee structure for manuscript processing and publication.

The total author charge is 1,200,000 Iranian tomans (IRR 12,000,000), divided into two stages:

1. Initial Review Fee

A fee of 600,000 Iranian tomans (IRR 6,000,000) is charged for the initial review stage of the manuscript.

2. Publication Fee

A further fee of 600,000 Iranian tomans (IRR 6,000,000) is charged for the publication stage.

Editorial Independence and Peer Review

Payment of any fee does not guarantee manuscript acceptance or publication. All submissions are subject to the journal's editorial assessment and established peer-review procedures. Editorial decisions are based on scholarly merit, relevance to the journal's aims and scope, and compliance with its publication ethics and editorial standards.

The journal's editorial decisions are independent of payments made by authors.

Open Access

All published articles are made freely available to readers under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence. Readers are not required to pay subscription or access fees to read or download published articles.

Publication Fee Waiver Policy

Non-Iranian authors who are unable to access the Iranian banking system are eligible for a full waiver of both the initial review fee and the publication fee, subject to verification of this limitation by the Editor-in-Chief. The granting of such a waiver does not influence editorial decisions or the journal's independent peer-review process.

Full Fee Waiver for Special Issues

For special issues officially announced by the journal as offering free publication, all eligible manuscripts are fully exempt from both the initial review fee and the publication fee. This waiver applies exclusively to special issues for which free publication is explicitly stated in the journal's official call for papers. The waiver does not affect the independence of peer review or editorial decision-making.
