Repository and Self-Archiving Policy

The Journal of Asian Regional Orders Studies (JAROS) supports open access to scholarly research and permits authors to deposit and share their manuscripts in institutional, disciplinary, and other scholarly repositories of their choice.

In accordance with the journal's open access and copyright policies, authors may deposit the following versions without any embargo period:

1. Submitted Version (Preprint)

Authors may deposit and publicly share their manuscripts before peer review and formal acceptance. The availability of a preprint does not, in itself, prevent consideration for publication in JAROS. Authors must disclose any publicly available preprint during submission.

2. Author Accepted Manuscript (AAM)

Authors may deposit the final manuscript accepted following peer review, before copy-editing and typesetting, immediately upon acceptance.

3. Published Version (Version of Record)

Authors may deposit and share the final published version immediately upon publication, in accordance with the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence.

Copyright and Attribution

Authors retain copyright in their work. When depositing the published version, they must acknowledge its original publication in JAROS, provide appropriate attribution, include the article's DOI where available, and comply with the terms of the applicable licence.

Peer Review and Publication Ethics

Self-archiving does not exempt authors from the journal's requirements concerning originality, publication ethics, or double-blind peer review. Authors must submit an anonymised manuscript for review, although the public availability of a preprint may make their identities discoverable.

Embargo Policy

JAROS imposes no embargo on the self-archiving of submitted, accepted, or published versions. Authors may deposit each version from the corresponding stage of the publication process, subject to applicable third-party rights.
